Hazel M. Reining

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado -- Hazel M. Reining, 85, died at her home on July 1, 2010, with her family at her side.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1924 in Laird, Colorado, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys Lovell Hanshaw. She graduated with honors from Parks High School in Park, Nebraska.

She married her husband, Carl, and worked beside him in their business for many years in addition to raising her family.

She a member of the Questa Docet Antique Study Club in Falcon, Colorado, and she was Cono Representative in the Falcon area.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and sisters, Betty Brunswick and Velda Steele.

She is survived by her husband, Carl; daughters, Carla Dolan of Colorado Springs, Rebecca Keller of Dayton, Ohio, Lisa Sieders of Denver, Colorado; son, Joseph Reining of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; sisters, Mary Lou Robens of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Arrena Roose of Kansas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. (MDT) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 813 Cheyenne St. in Benkelman, Nebraska. Interment will follow at the Benkelman Cemetery.

At the family's request the casket will remain closed. There will be no visitation.
