Drug court looking to expand
Thursday, June 24, 2010
The 11th Judicial District is served by a drug court, according to Scott Carlson, coordinator of problem solving courts in Nebraska.
The Midwest Nebraska Adult Drug Court is overseen by Judge James Doyle IV in Dawson County, Carlson said.
While the court takes clients only from Dawson and Furnas counties, now, Doyle is working with other judges to expand the service, Carlson said.
"In addition, we are moving toward the use of technology in order to have the option of remote hearings in our rural areas," he added.
