Teddy Gene Schleeman

STRATTON, Nebraska -- Teddy Gene Schleeman, 65, died Saturday (June 12, 2010) at the Dundy County Hospital.
He was born on May 25, 1945, in McCook to George J. and Wilma E. (Ahrens) Schleeman. He attended McCook Public Schools.
He was united in marriage to Elaine Bannon on July 20, 1964. To this union two children, Joy and Timothy, were born. He later married Georgia Fern (Beck) Miller in Stratton in 1995.
Ted was a diesel mechanic for Cummings and Company where he worked on all their trucks in the mining fields. He retired after 30 years of service. He moved back to the Stratton community in 2001 to be closer to family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Wilma Schleeman; his wife, Georgia Schleeman, on April 28, 2003; one son, Timothy Schleeman; one sister, Raymounda Koons; and four brothers, Herman, Alfred, Albert and Robert Schleeman.
Survivors include his daughter, Joy and husband, Steve Bishop, of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-daughter, Jana and husband, Kenneth Risser, of Las Vegas; three step-sons, Robert "Dale" Miller of Beatty, Nevada, Michael Miller and wife, Cheryl, and Dusty Miller and wife, Toby, all of California; twin brother, Terry Schleeman of Cambridge; and four sisters, Sharon and husband, Beryl Gummere of Stratton, Georgia and husband, Dan Longly, of Lincoln, Donna Drews of Lincoln, and Patricia and husband, Stan Kotschwar, of Stratton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in his name.
Graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
