CAMBRIDGE. Nebraska -- Rosalie Mowry passed to eternal life on Friday (May 28, 2010), she was 72 years old.

Rosalie (Dillan) Mowry was born on March 6, 1938, at Brewster Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska, to Robert "Chub" and Irma (Grotfeld) Dillan. She grew up on a farm near Wilsonville and moved with her family to town in 1950. She attended Wilsonville schools, graduating from Wilsonville High School in 1955.

On June 10, 1956, she married Keith Mowry in the Christian Church at Wilsonville where she was a member. To this union five children were born; Sue, Marcia, Dan, Daren and David. They made their home in Cambridge, Nebraska.

She is fondly remembered for her fine ability to cook, her love of crafts and her talent in making them, the strength of her will, and most of all her love of her family. She baked and decorated cakes for weddings and special occasions, sewed many bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, and traveled several miles to be one of the first to meet the newest Mowry arrival.

She managed the kitchen at the Cambridge Heritage Plaza for several years where residents enjoyed excellent home cooking. She spent many hours attending events for her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chub and Irma Dillan. She leaves to mourn her five children and their spouses, Sue & Kevin Orvis (Hebron); Marcia Holliday (Iola, Kansas); Dan Mowry (Cambridge) and Carla Mowry (Bartley); Daren and Lorrie Mowry (Cambridge); and Dave and Teresha Mowry (Lincoln).

She is lovingly remembered by 13 surviving grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jennifer Orvis (Plattsmouth), Tracie and Brett Beavers and Anthony, Jacob, and Owen (Carleton), Tara and Neal Voss and Tobby (Ohiowa), Mandy and Dan Matney and Skyler, Nathan and Rylan (Springfield, Missouri), Angie Holliday (Germany), Michael Holliday (Grand Island), Tanner and Danielle Mowry and Hailey (McCook), Brock and Tosha Mowry (Cambridge), Alysia Mowry and Dillon Mowry (Bartley), Hunter Mowry and Megan Mowry (Cambridge) and Brianna Mowry (Lincoln). Also surviving are one sister, Colleen and Ken Bose (Ten Sleep, Wyoming); one brother, Robert and Joan Dillan (Sandwich, Massachusetts); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, at the Wilsonville Cemetery with Reverend Tim Burke officiating.
