ARAPAHOE, Nebraska -- Marjorie M. Dutton, 84, formerly of Holbrook, died Thursday (May 20, 2010), at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge.
She was born Jan. 7, 1926, south of Holbrook, to Cecil and Mia (Scott) Steel.
On Feb. 5, 1944, she married Gerald L. "Jerry" Dutton at Norton, Kansas. They made their home sough of Holbrook and later moved into Holbrook. She was a homemaker.
Her husband died Aug. 26, 1985. She later moved to C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Society in Arapahoe.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a grandson, Zack Dutton; a sister, Mary Anderson; and a granddaughter-in-law, Gina Dutton.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry and wife, Rosemary Dutton of Syracuse, Nebraska, Bill Dutton of Edison, Nebraska, Lonnie and wife, Lorraine Dutton of Denver, Colorado and Terry and wife, Cindy Dutton of Mesa, Arizona; a brother, Lyle and wife, Norma Steel of Arapahoe; a sister, Donna and husband, Duane Wineland of Arvada, Colorado; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, 10 a.m., at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, with the Rev. George Probasco officiating. Burial will be at the Holbrook Cemetery in Holbrook.
Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, 2-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and Monday, prior to services at the center.
