MIAMI, Oklahoma -- Gerald Leroy McNutt, 63, of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Saturday at his home.

He was born July 12, 1946 in McCook, Nebraska to Roy and Lucille (Marcum) McNutt. He graduated from McCook High School in 1964 and attended William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion in Grove, Oklahoma. He was a Wholesale Produce Manger for many years.

On June 30, 2001 he married Mary (Lugar) in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Fairland, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mindy; and a brother, Murl McNutt.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Keith McNutt of Shallowater, Texas; daughter, Kristina McNutt of Shallowater; two step-sons, Paul Kingrey of West Hollywood, California, and Billy Kingrey of Fairland, Oklahoma; brother, Herb McNutt of Kearney, Nebraska; two sisters, Lori Synder of Atlantic, Iowa, and Rita Tyson of Blackfoot, Idaho.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Pastor Truman Brady will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gary Lugar, Lyndell Lugar, Billy Kingrey and Paul Kingrey. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 147 Funeral Detail.

Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.

Services are under the directions of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.
