Terry E. Rogers Jr.

JENNINGS, Kansas -- Terry E. Rogers Jr., 45, died Saturday (April 17, 2010) at Sheridan County Hospital in Hoxie, Kansas.

He was born Oct. 28, 1964, at San Antonio, Texas, to Terry Eugene Rogers Sr. and Carylon Elaine Newton. He grew up in the San Antonio area, graduating from Fox Tech High School in San Antonio, later attending trade school in Missouri.

He moved to Jennings, Kansas, and had lived there for the last several years. He worked maintenance at Sheridan County Hospital in Hoxie, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Carylon (Newton) Rogers.

Survivors include his partner, Michael Foster of Jennings; grandparents, Paul and Katie Blackwell of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Carlos Newton III of San Antonio; and one sister, Paula Newton of San Antonio.

Memorial services are Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment will be at a later date in Texas.

Visitation is Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be given in his name to dog rescue organizations or donor's choice.
