Spencer 'Levi' Sloan

March 29, 1976 - April 17, 2010

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Spencer "Levi" Sloan, age 34, died Saturday (April 17, 2010) at his home in McCook.

Levi was born in Ainsworth on March 29, 1976, to Scott E. and Pamela Sue (Henne) Sloan. He attended elementary school in Springview, later moving with his family to Casper, Wyoming, in his freshman year of high school. He graduated from Lincoln High, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Levi enjoyed researching for a book that he was writing about the origins of early religion and text. He lived life with an incredible sense of humor and had many unique friendships. He loved the time that he was able to spend with his family, and he liked the country life.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Ryschon; special grandparents, Dorothy and Clyde Vaughan; and an uncle, Robert Henne.

He is survived by his parents, Scott Sloan of Springview and Pam Sloan of McCook; brother, Jamey Sloan; half brother, Clint Keller; a special niece, Dylyn Henne and many special cousins.

Memorials may be given in his name.

Memorial services will be Thursday, April 22, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Shanon Williams officiating.

Inurnment will take place at a later date.
