Robert Allen Modrell

ST. FRANCIS -- Robert Allen Modrell, 71, died Monday (March 22, 2010) at Cheyenne County Hospital in St. Francis, Kan.

He was born June 6, 1938, in McCook.

He was a retired computer program specialist for the Bureau of Reclamation.

Survivors include his wife, Sonia (Lampe) Modrell of St. Francis; one son, David Modrell of Boise, Idaho; one daughter, Teresa Chase of Stansbury Park, Utah; one sister, Marilyn Corey of Lake City, Iowa; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services are Tuesday, 11 a.m. (CDT) at United Methodist Church in St. Francis. Inurnment to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.

There will be no visitation as the body was cremated.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Knodel Funeral Home of St. Francis is in charge of the arrangements.
