Great hospitality

Dear Editor,

On behalf of Republicans in the 2nd Congressional District and across the state of Nebraska I want to say "Thank You" to the people and businesses of McCook for their friendliness and hospitality in hosting the Nebraska Republican Central Committee meeting last weekend. Everyone I spoke with was cordial and friendly.

Approximately 100 members, guests and office holders attended the meetings and social events over the weekend. Most of those attending spent at least one night in one of your area motels and most purchased one to three meals in area restaurants. In addition, many of us purchased gasoline and/or other items in your community and trade area. (I purchased gasoline in Cambridge on the return trip.)

We offer a special thanks to the college for the fine cooperation in providing meeting space on Saturday, to the country club for providing space for a "hospitality event" on Friday, and to area motels for providing rooms for our attendees.
