Orphan Grain Train shipping meals to Haiti

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Orphan Grain Train, a Christian humanitarian relief organization headquartered at Norfolk, Neb., in cooperation with LCMS World Relief and Human Care, is shipping 513,216 "Kids Against Hunger" meals (two semi-loads) to Haiti in response to the earthquake. Each semi-load contains 256,608 meals. Orphan Grain Train is shipping to Haiti both by air and by sea. Other relief shipments are in the planning stage. A semi-load relief shipment of food sent last month arrived on Jan. 6 and is being used to respond to the disaster. "Kids Against Hunger" volunteers in Nebraska prepared the meal packets. Food distributions are intended for all people in need, regardless of church affiliation.

Orphan Grain Train welcomes cash donations of any amount to help the destitute survivors in Haiti. Checks may be sent to Orphan Grain Train, PO Box 1466, Norfolk, NE 68702-1466.
