Detwiler, Rupp engagement
Shelly Detwiler and Derek Rupp, both of Victoria, Kan., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the couple are Joanne Detwiler of Olathe, Kan., Michael and Deborah Detwiler of Luka, Kan., Jane and Shad Dewey of McCook, and Patrick Rupp of Garden City, Kan.
The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Pratt High School, a 2006 graduate of Kansas State University earning a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and 2009 graduate of Fort Hays State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is employed at Hays Medical Center as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Ulysses High School, a 2006 graduate of Hutchinson Community College earning an Associate of Science, and a 2009 graduate of Fort Hays State University earning a Bachelor of Science in technology studies. He is employed at Hess Services as a draftsman.
A Feb. 6, 2010, wedding is planned at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria, Kan.
