Bison capture 2nd at invite on 'treacherous' North Platte course
NORTH PLATTE -- The McCook girls team captured second place at the North Platte Invitational Friday at the Iron Eagle Municipal Golf Course in North Platte.
Makenzie O'Connell of Sidney led the Red Raiders for the best team score of 370 and top individual honors with a round of 80.
Bison Shelby Allen scored a 93 for third place.
Kaylee Samway picked up fourth with a 94.
Senior Alex Trew shot a 95 for seventh place.
"We played well enough on the treacherous front nine to have a good team score," said coach Randy Ryser.
"Shelby, Kaylee and Alex had fine days," the coach added, saying that his team had "good scores on a tough course."
