'Harvey' tryouts set

Community theater tryouts for the fall production of "Harvey" will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the home of director Don Harpst, 505 N. Cherokee in McCook. "Harvey" was first produced in 1944 and was soon followed with a movie featuring Jimmy Stewart.

Southwest Nebraska Community Theatre has been presenting family entertainment in the McCook area for nearly 25 years with two productions each season.

The play will be performed in the round, which means that the stage is surrounded on all sides by the audience. It will be performed at the Oberlin Events Center on Oct. 17 and at the Republican Valley Event Center on Oct. 22, 23, 24 and a matinee on Oct. 25. The McCook show will have dinner theater options.
