Velma L. Millard

HASTINGS -- Velma L. Millard, 80, died Monday (June 15, 2009) at Perkins Pavilion in Hastings.

She was born July 4, 1928, in Holbrook to Walter and Mabel (Mills) Nelson. She graduated from high school. On Feb. 6, 1953, she married Barney Millard. She was a homemaker and secretary/bookkeeper for Snitker Enterprises.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Barney of Hastings; daughter, Vicki and husband, Leon Kyle of Hastings; son, Rick Millard and significant other,Tracy Smalley of Grand Island; six grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Butler-Volland Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating.
