Youth leaque cookout, concert set for Monday

Four bands will be featured at the McCook Youth League's Memorial Day Concert and Cookout.

The event will take place Monday night at the McCook Community College Student Union. Tickets, costing $5 each, will be available at the door.

The cookout begins at 6:30 p.m. with band music to follow.

Featured bands are "Farewell to False Love," "Exit 48," "Get Down," and "A No Coast November." The bands are coming from as far away as Manhattan, Kan. and Lincoln.

"The bands' music has special appeal to teens, but all ages are invited," said Mathew Winder, president of the McCook Youth League. The concert and cookout is a fund-raiser for the Youth League, which was formed in 2008.
