Santos, Gordon wedding
LINCOLN -- Luciana Santos of Rondonopolis, Brazil and Matt Gordon of Benkelman were united in marriage Aug. 9, 2008, at Hazel Abel Park in Lincoln with the Rev. George Matthews of Benkelman officiating.
Parents of the couple are Neuza Salles and Oscar Santos of Rondonopolis, Brazil, Barb and Jim Kent of Benkelman and Dave and Tammy Gordon of Lexington.
Grandparents of the bride are Adao and Ema Salles of Rondonopolis, Brazil. Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Matt and Dorothy Treinen and Glen and Mary Marose, Missoula, Mont.
Lygia Plioplis of Lincoln was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Renata Richardson of Lincoln, Renata Bennett of Lincoln, Andrea Clark of Lincoln and Mollie Gordon sister of the bridegroom, of Kearney. Junior bridesmaids were Natalie and Nicole Kent, sisters of the bridegroom, of Benkelman.
Dustin Blank of Hildreth served as the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Derek Clay of Broken Bow, Dan Falliaux of Denver, Colo., John Keller of Topeka, Kan., and Jorge Salles, cousin of the bride, of Rondonopolis, Brazil.
Dominic Lambert, nephew of the bridegroom, of Kearney was the ring bearer. Ushers were Aaron Lienemann of Hildreth, Dillon Blank of Hildreth.
Emily Bilha and Marcelo Plioplis, of Lincoln were the soloists.
A reception was at the Holiday Inn Downtown in Lincoln.
The bride graduated high school in Rondonopolis, Brazil and Union College in Lincoln. She is employed as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Dundy County High School, McCook Community College and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He is a teacher at Horizon Middle School.
A honeymoon trip to Rondonopolis, Brazil is planned for June of 2009. The couple is residing in Kearney.
