Beverly J. Sutton

PALISADE -- Beverly J. Sutton died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at El Dorado Manor Home in Trenton, Neb., at the age of 74.

She was born Aug. 10, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of the late Louis and Joyce (McLaughlin) Ewald. She grew up in Milwaukee where she received her high school education.

On June 1, 1952, Beverly married Robert Sutton at Yuma, Ariz. They resided at San Diego, Calif., for four years before moving to New Port, R.I., where they spent two years before moving to Norfolk, Va. They spent six years in Hawaii before her husband retired from the U.S. Navy. They moved to Palisade, Neb., in 1981, where they have spent the remainder of her life. For 12 years she was employed at J.C. Penney Co., in McCook.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Audrey Brickler.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Palisade; three daughters, Paula Yeager and husband, Wes of McCook, Kathy Day and husband, Brian of Denver, Colo., and Valerie Weigel and husband, Michael of Omaha; four grandchildren, Rebecca L. Ritterbush and husband, Jason, Emily Weigel, Andrew W. Yeager and Alyssa A. Yeager; one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle R. Ritterbush; relatives; and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, north of Stratton, Neb.

Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
