IMPERIAL -- Kassi Denise Krutsinger, 38, died Friday (Oct. 31, 2008) at her home in Imperial
She was born April 15, 1970, to Dennis and LaRue Krutsinger. She was baptized at the Methodist Church in Imperial on May 9, 1971. She attended Imperial Grade School and Chase County High School. She spent her senior year in 1988 at Alief High School in Houston, Texas.
She lived in Houston for more than 10 years and was employed at Excel Telephone Company as a customer service representative. She also worked at Pagenet. She was an artist and won many awards at Krogers for her work.
In 2000, she returned to Imperial and was confirmed into the Lutheran Church. She married Matthew Strawn on June 29, 2002, in Imperial. They lived in Imperial and Hobbs, N.M.
She moved back to Imperial in 2006 and was engaged to Steven Shinn at the time of her death.
She was a Girl Scout and attended Sunday School.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doris and Louis Krutsinger and Gilbert Green and Lannie Krutsinger of Benkelman.
Survivors include her parents, Dennis and LaRue Krutsinger of Imperial; fiance, Steven Shinn of Imperial; brother, Kriss Krutsinger and wife, Lisa of Benkelman; grandmother, Betty Lee Green of Wray, Colo.; sister, Karra Messke and husband, Karl of Champion; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and great-aunts.
Funeral services were today at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial with the Rev. David Kahle officiating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery at Imperial.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
