College considers buying Imperial property

A public hearing and vote on the purchase of property for an Imperial center for Mid-Plains Community College is set for McCook next week.

The board of governors of Mid-Plains Community College will conduct the public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Weeth Theater, in Tipton Hall on the McCook Community College campus at 1203 E. Third St in McCook.

The hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed purchase of a building and land located in Imperial Nebraska: Lots 8-12, Block 9, Original Town of Imperial, Chase County.

A vote on the purchase is listed as part of the agenda for the regular board of governors meeting to follow.

An agenda for the public hearing will be readily available for public inspection in the college in the vice-president's Office on the McCook Community College campus at 1203 E. 3rd St, McCook, and at the president's office on the North Platte Community College South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd. North Platte, Nebraska, during normal business hours.
