FCB Juniors fall to Lexington 10-1

LEXINGTON -- The McCook First Central Bank Juniors American Legion baseball team allowed six unearned errors en route to a 10-1 loss at Lexington Thursday.

Chris Conroy took the loss for McCook, allowing four earned runs while striking out two and walking one batter. Catlin Rice pitched one inning of no-hit relief for McCook.

Andrew McCurdy led McCook offensively, going 2-for-3. Rice, Cody Goltl and Conroy added one hit each, with Conroy driving in Goltl for the lone McCook run.

McCook FCB's current record is 1-8.

The Juniors and the McCook National Bank Seniors play tonight at Gothenburg.

No information was available on the seniors game against Lexington Wednesday or Gothenburg Thursday.

Saturday, the Juniors compete in the Cambridge Round Robin Tournament. Elwood plays Frontier County at 2 p.m., followed by McCook FCB against Alma at 4 p.m.

The consolation game is at 6 p.m, and the championship at 8 p.m.

The McCook Seniors host Colby at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Sunday, the MNB Seniors compete in the Cambridge Round Robin Tournament. MNB plays Alma at 2 p.m., followed by Alma versus Elwood at 4 p.m. and MNB vs. Elwood at 6 p.m.
