MCC men 1-2 at Colby Classic

COLBY -- The McCook Community College men's basketball suffered its first two losses of the season last weekend at Colby Classic.

The Indians defeated Fort Scott 88-71 Thursday, lost to Neosho County 93-80 Friday and lost to Colby 84-74 Saturday.

Trey Mosby led MCC in scoring in the win over Fort Scott with 20 points.

Lavonte Rhines scored 19 points, Javoun Martin 11, Jared Deal 10 and Josh Fanslow 10.

Deal paced MCC in scoring with 16 points in the loss to Fort Scott. Mosby, Rhines and Manuel Cook each scored 12.

Cook scored 13 points in the loss to Colby. Mosby, Trevor Ridlen (Wauneta-Palisade freshman) and Ronnell Grant each scored 11.

MCC added a game and canceled a game for this week.

The Indians will host Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture at 7 p.m. tonight at True Hall Gymnasium. The game was added.

Friday's game against the York College junior varsity was canceled.

MCC will host Iowa Western at 7 p.m. Saturday.

MCC women -- The MCC women competed at the Otero Classic over the weekend.

The Indians played Western Oklahoma Friday and Colorado Western Saturday.

No details were available.

MCC plays Wednesday through Friday at the Casper Classic in Casper, Wyo.
