Dorothy Statz

CHAMPION -- Dorothy Statz, 88, a longtime resident of the Champion area, died Sept. 28, 2007, in Tucson, Ariz.

Survivors include five sons, Harold and wife, Ann Statz of Nickerson, Robert and wife, Barbara Statz of Holyoke, Colo., Ralph Statz and wife Linda, also of Holyoke, Leon and wife, Jean of Lebanon, Ky., and Bud and wife, Sharon Statz of Champion; three daughters, Pauline Patterson, Kathy Hern and Carla Croner, all of Tucson; a brother, Donald Knight of Rockville, Md.; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Mount Hope Cemetery with Robert Harmon officiating.

There is no visitation. The family chose cremation.

A memorial has been established to the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department at PO?Box 1446, Imperial, NE 69033.

Liewer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
