Wortman, Poppert wedding
CASTRIES, Saint Lucia -- Taressa Leigh Wortman and Shawn Michael Poppert, both of Cozad, were united in marriage July 20, 2007 on the island of St. Lucia, Castries Bay with the Rev. Elijah Greenidge officiating.
Parents of the couple are Terry and LuAnn Wortman of Hayes Center and Todd and Bambe Poppert of Axtell.
Grandparents of the bride are Gerald and JoAnne Wortman of Tekamah, and the late Don and Gladys Saville. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Russell and Carol Liljehorn of Kearney and Glenn and Bonnie Poppert of Holdrege.
The reception was at Mac's Creek Vineyard in Lexington.
The bride is a graduate of Hayes Center High School and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is a first grade teacher at Cozad Elementary.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Axtell High School and is employed at Baldwin Filters of Gothenburg.
The couple is residing in Cozad.
