Nebraska U.S.A. track meet set for May 20

The McCook Optimist Club is again sponsoring the Nebraska U.S.A. Track and Field Junior Olympic qualifying track and field meet.

The event will be at the McCook High School track on May 20, at 2 p.m.

The registration deadline is May 15.

Entry forms are being distributed to schools later this month and can also be picked up at The Sports Shoppe and online at www.cornhuskerflyers.org/neb_jos.htm.

The McCook Optimist Club is a local service club with a mission of providing area youth opportunities to participate in various activities.

From academic decathlons to college scholarships, the McCook Optimist Club is a "Friend of Youth."

The club meets regularly on Monday at noon at the Pizza Hut in McCook.
