Here we go again
Dear Editor,
Here we go for a record long presidential campaign. I'm sure we will hear good plans for domestic programs on each side. And, as usual, taxes will be lowered and wasteful spending will be stopped just as it has for the last 70 years plus that I can remember.
But one thing we need to listen for is their expertise in military, especially in these times, as we always have some degree of military need in all the administrations that I can remember.
Whether we like it or not, no nation was made great by the peaceniks or pacifists (do you remember the British diplomat, Neville Chamberlain, who came back from Germany waving a piece of paper, a peace treaty with Germany signed by Adolph Hitler. It was only for a little more time for Adolph to make more bombs to use in the London blitz). There is always the element out there who would take our freedom and peace away if we let them.
So I say, think carefully when we vote at the polls. One man's opinion.
