Taxes as expected

Dear Editor,

Yep, it finally arrived, our annual real estate tax bill, and we were not disappointed in our prediction that there would be a substantial increase in the school portion of the bill.

As you know, we were dragged, kicking and screaming, into the K-12 complex. I am sure the K-12 officials are licking their chops for all the extra cash they now have to cast into the bottomless pit.

I feel quite sure in succeeding years they will want even more, and the legislative and judicial branch seem willing to go along with it.
