OMAHA -- Having recently played a supporting role of an FBI agent in a feature-length independent movie that was filmed in Omaha this last summer, McCook native, Lisa Hinz (1990 McCook High School graduate), decided that one movie wasn't enough. She's continued to search for unique opportunities and has found just that.
Lisa, daughter of Harv and Erma Hinz of McCook, came across an online casting competition (LiveMansion) that has swayed hundreds, possibly thousands, of actors to post their talents online to win a spot in a movie that will be filmed in New York City next spring.
She decided she had nothing to lose and joined the competition. Since she joined on Sept. 25, she remained in the top 10 under the category of "Actress" through Round One of the competition, in which 75 percent of the actors/actresses made it to Round Two.
There are three rounds to this competition. Currently, the competition is in round two with only seven days left. Only 25 percent of the top votes will then go to round three. It's in round three where the competition really gets tough and the top four actors/actresses for each character will be flown to New York City to audition in person. Those audition tapes will then be shown online for the public to decide who gets the final votes!
Lisa needs votes to keep her in the competition. Voting her a "5" for the three roles she's vying for will help her chances of going to New York City.
It's free to log in and vote. The score is based on the average (5 being the highest) and the most number of votes.
DIRECTIONS to vote and give your support - go to:
http://www.livemansion.com/signup.aspx
No. 1 - Fill in the basic info (make it up if you want to make it quicker and easier for you).
No. 2 - Search for her screen name: LisaLongLegs
No. 3 - "Vote a 5 for all three characters I'm running for (Mee-gan, Janelle and Sabrina)," Lisa said.
The winners of this competition will eventually fly to New York City to audition for a role in a movie sometime in February/March 2007.
