Finnesy, Sovereign wedding
LINCOLN -- Angela S. Finnesy of McCook and Christopher L. Sovereign of Battle Creek were united in marriage on Aug. 26, 2006, at the St. Patricks Catholic Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Joseph Faulkner officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mike and Sue Finnesy of McCook and Dale and Sue Sovereign of Battle Creek.
Grandparents of the bride are Helga Binkey of McCook, Earl and Carol Binkey of Trenton and Matt and Aldea Finnesy of Selden. Theresa Stratman of Yankton, S.D., is the grandmother of the bridegroom.
Laura Sovereign, sister of the bridegroom, of Lincoln, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melisa Martorelli of Fairfield, Calif., and Sarah Powers, cousin of the bride, of McCook.
Dana Nelson of Lincoln was the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Nick Sovereign, brother of the bridegroom and Jason Bartholomew, both of Lincoln.
Marisa Niemann of Lincoln, was the flower girl and Brody Rolfes, cousin of the bridegroom, of Lincoln was the ringbearer. Ushers were Eric Binkey, brother of the bride, of Fairfield, Calif., Mike Wood, of Omaha and Duane Niemann of Lincoln.
A reception followed at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln. Paige Binkey, cousin of bride, of Kearney and Elizabeth Wilcox, cousin of bride, of McCook, were the guestbook attendants. Bailey and Jordan Binkey, cousins of bride, of Kearney, passed out bubbles to guests
Host couples were Linda Drain, godmother and aunt of bride, of Trenton, Dan Finnesy, godfather and uncle of bride, of Halsted, Kan. and Todd and Betty Driver, godparents and aunt and uncle of the bridegroom, of Battle Creek.
The bride is employed at Bryan LGH as a heart monitor tech and is attending the hospital's Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program. The bridegroom attended Southeast Community College in Milford with a degree in ASEP and is employed at Husker Auto Group as a Certified GM Auto Technician in Lincoln
After a honeymoon cruise to the Grand Caymen Islands and Jamiaca, the couple is making their home in Lincoln.
