Lowell Sebaugh

OBERLIN -- Lowell Don Sebaugh, 90, died Monday (Oct. 2, 2006) at the Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.
He was born Jan. 8, 1916, in rural Norcatur, Kan., to Edward and Pearl (Stapp) Sebaugh. He grew up in Norcatur and graduated from Norcatur Schools.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Staff Seargent. After his service, he returned to Norcatur, where he farmed. On Aug. 10, 1941, he married Evelyn Frewen in Norton.
He was a member of the Norcatur Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn on Sept. 27, 2000; one brother, Elton Sebaugh; and infant sister, Genola Sebaugh.
Survivors include his four daughters, Janice O'Hare and husband, Rodney, Linda Hunt and husband, Monty, all of Norcatur, Terry Cross and husband, Mark of Olatha, Kan., and Mary Lough and husband, Bob of Wamego, Kan; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were today at 10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with the Rev. Kathy Aeillo and the Rev. Ray Gilstrap officiating. Interment followed in the Norcatur Cemetery.
Visitation was this morning at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
