NORTH?PLATTE -- Sharon Elaine Budke, 49, died Wednesday (Sept. 20, 2006) at her home in North Platte.

She was born on June 12, 1957, in Omaha to Donald Richard and Barbara Louise Kaskie Wood. She attended grade school in Omaha, and then moved with her family to Indianola, graduating from Republican Valley High School. She then graduated from the Grand Island School of Business.

She was employed by Budke Motors. It was there that she met Kevin Budke. The couple wed on May 18, 1979, in Indianola. They resided in North Platte, where she worked for Budke Motors. Later she worked at Shopko, where she was employed for more than 15 years.

She belong to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Patrick's and was active in the Boy Scouts, serving in the offices of secretary and treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Wood and brother, William Wood.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin of North Platte; her mother, Barbara Wood of North Platte; three sons, Joshua and fiance', Jana Zirnig of North Platte, Michael of San Antonio, Texas, and Ethan of North Platte; 12 siblings, Bernard Wood of Cambridge, Annette Denning and husband, Jeff of Independence, Calif., Gerald Wood of Indianola, Stephen 'Buck' Wood and wife, Thauna of Minden, Theresa Brooks and husband, Lonnie of Indianola, Donald Wood and wife, Dianne of Elkhorn, Kevin Wood and wife, Pam of North Platte, Terrence Wood and wife, Nubia, Paul Wood and wife, Julie, Kathleen Kiefer and husband, William, Martin Wood and wife, Brenda, and David ?Wood all of Omaha; one granddaughter, Makenzie of North Platte; her mother-in-law, Linnaea Budke of McCook; seven brother and sister-in-laws, Shauna Stanton of Kearney, Tongay Epp and husband, Gale of Columbus, Stephan Budke and wife, Irma of North Platte, Taryn Witt and husband, Greg of Casa Grande, Ariz., Dion Budke of McCook, Charlynn Hamilton and husband, Lynn of McCook, and Kif Huffman and husband, James of McCook; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m., with Reverends Jim Golka, Joseph Walsh and Vince Parsons as celebrants. A reception will be at St. Patrick's following the Mass.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. today at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte.
