Lucille M. Houghton

ATWOOD -- Lucille M. (Bryant) Houghton, 69, died Wednesday (July 19, 2006) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was born June 13, 1937, at Norton, Kan. where she completed the 12th grade. She then moved to Utah where she worked at a girl's home.

On May 18, 1957, she married Robert Houghton. She has lived in Atwood since 1960.

She was a member of the Good Sams Camping Club in McCook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, and a sister, Joyce Parker.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Houghton of Atwood, Melva Moore and husband, Brian of Midwest City, Okla., Teresa and husband, Alan David of Goodland, Kan., and Dedra and husband, Keith Sawyer of Paola, Kan.; and five grandchildren.

Services are Monday, 11 a.m., at Williams Funeral Chapel in Atwood with Terry McCorkle officiating. Burial will follow at the Atwood Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials are being accepted in her name.
