Martha Bertha Mock

ARAPAHOE -- Martha Bertha Mock, 93, of Arapahoe died Thursday ( March 16, 2006 at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center of Arapahoe.
She was born June 8, 1912, at Arapahoe to Edmond C. and Lydia M. (Hemann) Mock.
She grew up on the family farm west of Arapahoe. She attended country school close to the family farm. During World War II she worked in North Platte at a bakery for several years. She returned home to help her parents while spending many years working at Williams Brothers Store in Arapahoe.
She moved to McCook and worked several years for Hested's variety store until her retirement. After her retirement she once again made her home in Arapahoe and helped prepare the daily salad bar at the Derby Cafe.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe.
Surviviors include a nephew, Larry and wife Marianne Mock of San Angelo, Texas; and a niece, Mary Mock of Vermillion, S.D.
Funeral services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe with the Rev. David Otten officiating. Interment will be at St. Matthews Cemetery, at Arapahoe.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 - 8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given in her name at the C.A. Mue Good Samaritan Center of Arapahoe.
