Aggies lose close game at Norfolk
NORFOLK -- The NCTA Aggies men's basketball team had one slip away during the final minutes at Norfolk Tuesday Night.
The Nebraska Christian College team shot 17-for-18 from the free throw line and won 87-83.
NCTA outshot the Parsons 31-29 from the field, but the Aggies hit 13-of-20 free throws.
Norfolk led the game by a score of 41-33 at halftime, but the Aggies came from behind. With 2 minutes remaining the Aggies had a couple of turnovers and the Parsons quickly turned them into points.
David Bills had one of his better nights as he hit four 3-pointers and was 4-of-4 from the line. He also led the rebounding with 6.
B.J. Luke also had 20 points and Dillon Olson from Gibbon scored 17 to help the cause.
The NCTA Invitational Tournament will take place Friday and Saturday. The Aggies will take on Frontier Bible of Lagrange, Wyo., at 5:30 p.m. and St Mary's of Kansas will play Summit College of Scottsbluff at 7:15 p.m. to open the tournament.
The consolation and championship round will be on Saturday morning.
