Foundation celebration
A surprise visit by the McCook Bison Seniors and the music of Vanilla Pop, left, highlighted Sunday night's "A Celebration of Success" 20th anniversary ball for Community Hospital Health Foundation and Hospice. Drs. Dan and Kathy Farrell were the winners of the grand prize, a 2006 Toyota, their ticket drawn out of 183 $100 charitable chance tickets sold. Ted Pierce of Stratton won the Montana Fly-Fishing Getaway, Terry Peterson won the Steamboat Colorado Escape, and Connie Olsen won the McCook Entertainment Package. Steve Marr won the surprise auction of the signed Bison football for $1,250. Given special recognition were founding Community Hospital Health Foundation members Mike Carr, Pete Graff and Don Klein. Bison seniors at the Republican River Valley Events Center event included Joel Arterburn, Mason Pohl, Paul Farrell, Jeff Klug, Tony Purvis, Garrett Rippen, Brendan Liess and Coach Jeff Gross. Vanilla Pop includes Al Dente, left, and Lester Moore. Some 160 people attended the event, which was catered by Sehnert's Dutch Oven Bakery and Bieroc Cafe.
