NARBERTH, Pa. -- Doris Marie Castelli, 79, died Saturday (Nov. 12, 2005) at her home in Narberth, Pa.

She was born Dec. 11, 1925, in Frontier County to Clarence and Esther (Hanthorn) Sughroue. She attended school in Indianola and graduated in 1943.

She taught rural school until marrying Frank Carlo Castelli on Dec. 5, 1944, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola. The couple made their home in Philadelphia, Pa., after World War II.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 1999; her parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and Stanley.

Survivors include her children, Frank Carlo Castelli III of Topton, Pa., George Castelli and wife, Mary of Reisterstown, Md., Kenneth Castelli of Philadelphia, Deborah and husband, Carl Swiderski of Collingwood, N.J., Matilda and husband, Beau Santa Maria of Westchester, Pa., and Tony Castelli and wife, Francesca of Narberth; three sisters, Helen Helm of Cambridge, Florence Uerling of Indianola and Loretta Belknap of Green Valley, Ariz.; one brother, Clarence Sughroue of San Francisco, Calif.; sister-in-law, Ruth Sughroue of Indianola; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Narberth with interment in Calvary Cemetery in Philadelphia.
