Multi-Cultural Night -- Annual event brings variety of speakers to NCTA campus

CURTIS -- Brazil, Morocco, Germany, the U.S. inner city, Native America and China were represented as the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture held its annual Multi-Cultural Night this week.
NCTA Faculty member, Del Van Der Werff invites a panel of speakers to share their ethnic history and discuss family life, celebrations, religious beliefs and social aspects of their culture.
This year's panel included Marco Salgado of Brazil, Mo Khamouna of Morocco and Florian Russ of Germany.
Mike Anderson discussed life in an inner city and Marlon Wolfe, known as Spotted Tail gave a presentation on the American Indian.
Van Der Werff was joined by his wife, Bev, as they discussed life in India and Pakistan. Cathy and Cailey Nutt talked about Chinese culture.
Presenters, dressed in native clothing, brought items that spoke of their culture. Students had a chance to interact with each speaker following the panel discussion. For more information about program at NCTA call 1-800-3CURTIS.
