Florence E. Cornell

BEAVER CITY -- Florence E. Cornell, 96, died Thursday (Oct. 6, 2005) at the Beaver City Manor.

She was born March 10, 1909, in Beaver City to Walter and Laura (Teeter) Cornell. She graduated from Beaver City High School in 1927. She graduated from Kearney State Teachers College in 1931.

She taught school in Nebraska and Kansas and farmed southwest of Beaver City. She lived in Hendley before moving to the Beaver City Manor.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Glenn.

Survivors include her cousins, Karla Warner, Doug Babcock and Richard Campbell, all of Beaver City.

Services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert E. Berlie Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Beaver City.

Visitation will be Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and prior to the services Saturday at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City. Condolences can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com.
