R.G. 'Riney' Loose

R. G. "Riney"Loose, 80, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
He was born March 4, 1925, in Brush, Colo., to George and Pauline (Kauffman) Loose.

He grew up and attended school in Brush and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942-1945.
He married Eileen M. Lehl in Oberlin, Kan., on Aug. 29, 1942. They had three children, Terry, Randy and Kim.
He was the owner and operator of the Loose & Smith Pool Hall. Later he also drove a delivery van for the Jewell Company and also drove the Handi Bus for the City of McCook.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen on Nov. 26, 1993; and a son, Randy, in November of 1982.
Survivors include his son, Terry Loose and wife, Cheryl of Broomfield, Colo.; a daughter Kim Rouse and husband, Terry of McCook; two brothers, Larry Loose of Lexington and Don Loose and wife, Naomi of Warren, Mich.; two sisters, Lillian Urbach and husband, Harold of Coppell, Texas and Gladys Knaus and husband, Dick of Longmont, Colo.; two grandchildren, Greg Loose and wife, Julie of Chicago, Ill., and Erica Amos and husband, Mark of Independence, Mo.; and four great grandchildren, Fuller and Charlie Loose and Kendra and Kara Amos.
Memorials are being accepted in his name.
Memorial services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Fellowship Church (507 West 3rd St.) with Mike Roth officiating.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family may sign his book at the funeral home during business hours. (Please use the south door entrance on "C" Street.) Friends may also go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences.
