A large thunderhead hangs to the east of McCook, where it dropped hail of more than three-quarters of an inch on Monday evening. Elsewhere in the state, funnel clouds and hail were reported in the Panhandle, with some wheatfields destroyed. No major damage was reported with a tornado three miles east of Potter.
