Stanton, Berg wedding
CAMBRIDGE -- Shari Stanton of Omaha and Isaac Berg of Wayne, both formerly of Cambridge, were married Jan. 1, 2005 in a candlelight ceremony at the Calvary Baptist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Tim Burke officiating.
Parents of the couple are Richard and Claudia Stanton of Cambridge and Keith and Janeen Berg of York.
Grandparents of the couple are Robert and Mildred Thomsen of Wakefield, Donald and Mavis Berg of Pender, the late Marion and Norma Gotchall, and the late Donald and Sarah June Stanton.
The bride was escorted by her father and wore a floor length strapless A-line gown of white satin and tulle. It was embellished with embroidery, crystal beads, and pearls, which enhanced the waistline. The 72 inch train was edged with satin cording. She carried a silk bouquet of hydrangeas in deep eggplant.
The bridegroom wore a single breasted black tuxedo with a navy-colored vest. He wore a boutonniere of eggplant colored hydrangea matching the bride's bouquet.
The maid of honor was Suzanne Stanton of Cambridge, sister of the bride, the bridesmaids were Marica Sayer of Lincoln, Amy Bergland of Elgin, Meagan Jensen of Omaha, and Kelcey Berg of Omaha, sister of the bridegroom. They wore floor length dresses of deep blue Lamore satin, with rouched fronts and scattered rhinestones. Each carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet.
The best man was Tony Berg of Omaha, brother of the bridegroom. Bridegroomsmen were Caleb Berg of Ames, Iowa, Miles Berg of York, Landon Berg of York, all brothers of the bridegroom, and Shane Stanton of Cambridge, brother of the bride. They each wore black tuxedos with navy-colored vests. The ring bearer was Bryson Berg of Omaha, nephew of the bridegroom.
Candle lighters were Hannah Anderson and Shelly Albert of Omaha. They wore eggplant-colored dresses identical to those worn by the bridesmaids.
Ushers were Matthew Recek of Omaha, Kyle Trumble of Lincoln, Brady Koch of Kearney, and Greg Ahlemeyer of Wilsonville.
The personal attendants were Alisa Edgerton of Kearney and Courtney Stanton of Cambridge, sister-in-law of the bride.
Guest book attendant was Kayla Reed of Wayne. Program and favor attendants were Danielle Hanchera, Mitchell Wittman, and Matthew Wittman, all cousins of the bride. Pianist was Trisha Moore of Cambridge, flutist was Roxie Klinkebiel of Holbrook, and vocalist was Bruce Sander of Arapahoe.
A reception followed at the Cambridge Community Building with host couple Brad and Sherri Edgerton of Cambridge. The servers were Roberta Blake of Danbury, aunt of the bride, Doreen Heinemann of Springfield, and Kathi Siebrandt of Pender, both aunts of the bridegroom, Jane Palmer of Cambridge, Anne Cox of Superior, Marge Paisley of Cambridge, and Luella Trumble of Cambridge.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and are making their home in Omaha. They are both 2001 graduates of Cambridge High School. The bride graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in May with a bachelor of science degree in radiation science. She will continue her education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in diagnostic medical sonography. The bridegroom is a graduate of Wayne State College with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry-health sciences and minor in biology. He will continue his education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine.
