Brown, Cole wedding
Monica Lynn Brown and Shawn Alan Cole were married Feb. 19, 2005, at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman and Rev. Art Phillips officiating.
Parents of the couple are Bob and Deanna Brown of Indianola and Rex Cole and Deb Fritsche of McCook.
Grandparents of the couple are Jack and Evelyn Hook and Ardis Brown, all of Indianola; the late Bob Brown Sr.; Paul and Levine Fritsche of Maywood; Harvey Cole of Curtis, and the late Yvonne Cole.
The matron of honor was Lindsey Foster of Kearney, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tori Hauxwell of Culbertson; Danae DeVaughn; and Heather Simmons, cousin of the bride. The bride's personal attendants were Jen Esch of McCook; and Julie Fritsche of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom.
The best man was Joel Hauxwell of Culbertson. Bridegroomsmen were Josh Lewis of North Platte; Josh Brown of Kearney, brother of the bride; and Nathan Cole of Lincoln, brother of the bridegroom.
Lindi Simmons of North Platte and Abby Jones of Cambridge, cousins of the bride, were the flower girls, and Jacob Fritsche of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.
Ushers were Chas Fritsche of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom, Adam Cole of Curtis, brother of the bridegroom, and Nick O'Dea of McCook, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Courtney Fritsche of Maywood and Katie Fritsche of McCook, both cousins of the bridegroom.
The guestbook attendant was Kelsey O'Dea of McCook, cousin of the bride.
The organist was Chris Lyons of McCook. The vocalist was Daniel Haag of Omaha.
The flowers and cake were made by Levina Fritsche, grandmother of the bridegroom.
The reception was at the Red Willow County Fairgrounds in McCook. Host couples were Larry and Beth Fletcher of Kearney, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom, and Andy and Lori O'Dea of McCook, uncle and aunt of the bride. Reception assistants were Lori O'Dea of McCook, Pam Wagner of St. Louis, Mo., Pam Brown of Indianola, and Wanda Miner of Benkelman, and aunts of the bride, Janet Fritsche and Holly Fritsche of McCook, both aunts of the bridegroom.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Republican Valley High School and a 2003 graduate of Mid-Plains in North Platte. She is employed with Kearney Implement in Kearney. The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Republican Valley High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney. He is employed at Advanced Auto Parts in Kearney.
The couple is making their home in Kearney.
