Congratulations

Dear Editor,

A friend of my from Culbertson called me and told me about the article ["McCook Bison 8th grade boys, girls tracksters shatter school records" (http://www .mccookgazette.com/story/1096385.html)] in your May 10 edition about Dillon Goltl, the Junior High boy who broke a 33-year-old record in the pole vault.

That old record was mine and I was shocked to find out it still stood after all this time. Anyway, thank you for digging through the archives and writing the story. It was fun to read about it and the memories come flooding back to the good old days at MJHS.

Congratulations to Dillon and I hope he goes on to win state as a high schooler.
