Cambridge boys track team blisters the pack at Medicine Valley meet

ARAPAHOE -- The Cambridge boys track team ran away from the field to win the team title at the Medicine Valley Invitational Saturday.

Cambridge scored 176 points. Dundy County was a distant second with 72 points, followed by Arapahoe 65, the McCook junior varsity 53, Maywood 49, Eustis-Farnam 49, Hitchcock County 26, Medicine Valley 21 and Southwest 18.

There was a three-way battle for the girls team title.

Dundy County finished first with 99 points. Medicine Valley and Eustis-Farnam tied for second with 90.

Cambridge was fourth with 73 points, followed by Hitchcock County 62, Southwest 53, Arapahoe 34, Maywood 17 and the McCook JV 8.

The Cambridge boys also won the team title at the Southern Valley Triangular last week. Southern Valley won the girls team title.

In other area track news, the Wauneta-Palisade girls placed eighth at the Sutherland Invitational Friday with 32 points. The Bronco boys were seventh with 26.5 and the Hayes Center boys placed 12th with 3.
