Carol A. Schoup

Carol Ann Schoup, 72, died today (Jan. 4, 2005) at Community Hospital of McCook.

She was born Sept. 2, 1932, to Claude and Mamie (Hagerman) Klooz in Burlington, Colo. In 1944, the family move from Burlington to Stratton, where she graduated from Stratton High School in 1949. She attended college in Curtis. She began teaching school in rural Stratton and later at West Ward in McCook.

On March 31, 1955, she married Clifford Schoup in Culbertson. She spent her life in McCook.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in McCook.

Survivors include two daughter, Debra Schoup of McCook and Kathryn Goforth and husband, Kevin of Greeley, Colo.; two sons, Dennis Schoup of Alliance and Keith Schoup and wife, Jaci of Casper, Wyo.; and four grandchildren.

Services are Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook with the Rev. Keith Wellman officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
