Anna M. Ketterl

HERNDON -- Anna Mae (Wolfram) Ketterl, 81, died Wednesday (Dec. 22, 2004) at her home near Herndon.
She was born May 24, 1923, to George and Edith (Klient) Wolfram on a farm north of Herndon. She attended Pleasant View No. 76 school and graduated from Herndon High School. She also graduated from Fort Hays State University.
She married Clarence Ketterl. She was a mother, homemaker and farmer.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers Altar Society, Traer Belles and Election Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence on Jan. 12, 1997; grandson, Michael Ketterl; brothers-in-law, Dennis "Lefty" Leitner, LaVern Ketterl, Harry Reiner, Matt Kogl and Matt Kleidosky; sisters-in-law, Margaret Reiner, Edith Ketterl and Ruth Ketterl.
Survivors include her sons, David and wife, Judy Ketterl of Herndon, Mark and wife, Becky Ketterl of Lewis, Kan., and Vernon and wife, Kari Ketterl of Herndon; daughters, Marita and husband, Leon Portschy of Herndon, Roma and husband, Keith Grafel of Oberlin and Karen and husband, Daniel Sattler of Scott City; two sisters, Georgia and husband Edmund Moore of Hays and Lois and husband, Aubrey Homer of Alvin, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are Monday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Herndon with the Rev. Damien Richards officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Herndon.
Visitation is Sunday, 1-4 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin, 5- 8 p.m., at the church in Herndon and Monday, 8 a.m. until service time at the church.
The vigil is Sunday, 7 p.m., at the church.
Memorials may be given to Cottonwood Home Health, Decatur County EMS and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
