Hoop Shoot

set for Saturday

The McCook Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot free throw contest will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the McCook Junior High School Gym.

The contest is for boys and girls ages 8-13. Contestants must show proof of age (birth certificate or copy of birth certificate).

Registration begins at 10 a.m.

Bison 8th grade wrestlers

19-13 at home meet

The McCook Junior High School eighth grade wrestling team won 19-of-32 matches Tuesday at its home meet at the MJH gymnasium.

Also competing were North Platte Madison and Ogallala.

The Bison team's last meet of the season is Saturday at the Lexington Invitational. Fourteen teams are scheduled to compete.

The Bison are coached by Dan O'Brien.
