Margaret Ann (Rosenthal) Bender of Houston, Texas died Monday April 19, 2004.

Funeral services were Thursday April 22, 2004, 10 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church in El Campo, Texas. The Rev. Lawrence Matula officiated.

Pallbearers were Robert Garcia, Rueben Garcia, Roy Garcia, Paul Anthony Garcia, Willis Johnson and Dr. Chris Nix.

The viewing was Wednesday, April 21, 2004, 12 p.m., with the family visitation from 6-7:30 p.m.

Marge was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Lindsay to Thomas and Celia (Syslo) Rosenthal.

On Sept. 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to LaVern Bender and resided in Humphrey. She later moved to Houston, Texas.

Survivors include her daughters, Jane (Don) Snellings of Phoenix, Ariz., Karen (Dr. Chris) Nix of McCook; her sons, Robert (Stacie) Bender of Bakersfield, Calif., and Daniel (Erlinda) Bender of Richmond, Texas; her twelve grandchildren, Natalie and Rachel Wittmann, Nicole, Nathan and Natasha Bender, Shannon, Tiffany, TJ and Aaron Nix, Paul Anthony, Melissa and Melinda Garcia; ten brothers and sisters, Angie (Edwin) Bender of Humphrey, Tony (Agnes) Rosentahl of Columbus, Theresa (Jim) Schmidt of Monroe, Delores (Clem) Rist of Humphrey, Marie (Adrian) Staroscik of Omaha, Bernie (Rick) Dubsky of Platte Center, Alex (Mary Ann) Rosenthal of Columbus, Ted (Mary Jane) Rosenthal of Humphrey, Ed (Judy) Rosenthal of Columbus, and Gerald (Gail) Rosenthal of Fremont and LaVern Bender.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald; her parents; and two brothers, Raymond and Thomas.
