IMPERIAL  -- Cleo Frances Harrison, 94, died Wednesday (April 21, 2004) at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Imperial.

She was born Feb. 17, 1910, to Earl and Lena (Hughes) Tatum in Waverly. At the age of eight, she moved with her family to Madrid and then to Palisade. They lived in Palisade for a short time before homesteading in Dundy County, southwest of Wauneta. She attended country school through the eighth grade and assisted her parents on the farm.

On Sept. 18, 1926, she married Elmer Elsworth Harrison in Wray, Colo. The couple farmed on the Harrison homestead until 1974, when they moved to Imperial. He husband died in January of 2002 and she remained in the Imperial Manor Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; daughter, Bonnie Jean; daughter-in-law, Violet Harrison; sisters, Velma Romick, Lillian Walgren; brother, Harry Tatum; and great-granddaughter, Tammy Borgman.

Survivors include four sons, Warren Harrison and wife, Rose of Stratton, Wayne Harrison and wife, Katie of Phoenix, Ariz., Donald Harrison and wife, Fredora of Goodland, Kan., and Will Harrison and wife, Joan of Whitehouse, Tenn.; sister, Helen Lorance of Benkelman; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, 10:30 a.m. (MST), at Wesleyan Church of Imperial with the Rev. Todd Burpo and Martin Harmon officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.

Visitation is today until 6 p.m. (MST), at Liewer Funeral Home of Imperial.

A memorial has been established in her name.
