Dropping JV doubles matches were Fagot-Kinne, 6-2; and Burrows-Shaddock, 6-3.

"The team played well but came up a couple matches short," said McCook tennis coach Matt Wiemers. "I was pleased with the effort by the team, but was disappointed with our unforced errors.

"We outplayed Hastings, but we also committed more errors. The girls need to understand committing errors will make it difficult to have success. Hastings did a good job of using the court and placing their hits.

"Kim Serbousek played the match of the day, coming from being down 4-7 and winning 9-7. She had an awesome match and beat a solid opponent.

"Kim plays with so much determination and never backs down at any time in the match."

The Bison competes at the North Platte Invitational at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
